News came through this morning that the sole ticket matching all six numbers in last night's $232 million Powerball jackpot was purchased in none other than Winner, South Dakota. Winner's a mere 40 minutes east of Mission on Highway 18. Sandy is the former postmaster in Winner, so there's a good chance he'll know the winner if the ticket was purchased by a local. Who knows, maybe someone here on the rez is the new multi-millionaire...
Very exciting!

Neal Wanless, 23, accepts a ceremonial check for winning a $232 million Powerball lottery jackpot, Friday in Pierre, S.D. He'll take home $88.5 million in a lump-sum payment after taxes are deducted.
There had been rumors around town that a member of the Wanless family won it. Neal is a rancher in Hidden Timber, southeast of Mission on the Rosebud. He picked the numbers based upon family members' birthdays.
According to everything I've heard and read, he's extremely deserving of the prize. What a great story!
